type of proxy server can divided into many category based on proxy
function, server type, server connection, anonymity level,
Hardware/Software, Paid/Free(open) , Content Managing /Non-Content

Proxy servers type by Anonymity level
1. Transparent Proxy Server act like only gateway it’s not hide
your IP Address this use only to change the route to content
server and also give an unblock ability.
2. Anonymous Proxy Server hides your IP Address and but still tell
content server that you are using the proxy.
3. Distorting Proxy Server not only hides but sends fake IP
address to destination server.
4. High Anonymity Proxy Server access the destination while
destination server don’t know that the request is from proxy.

1. Caching server save downloaded content and if there are any
request of requested this type will send saved data instead of get
fresh from destination server. Pros & Cons
2. Content Filtering Web Proxy mostly implemented in school let
students access to only via proxy site and then filter out all
improper content to proxy users.

1. Web (www) proxy.
This type of proxy server allows you to access proxy by
only the internet browser. Like Delprox.com this was easy to use
no configuration required but have the limitation such as only can
use with web browser
2. Software based SOCK proxy trough HTTP Port.
With this way Users have to download and install special proxy
software that will control all of your internet connection and
convert it then send to proxy server by http port. So if you can
use web browser you can use all internet application this way.
This is most flexible and hardest to block by user network
administrator. But have much issue with security, speed and
privacy
3. SOCK/HTTP proxy
This is widest used access way of proxy. You need to know the
proxy site mostly list in IP address and proxy port. And then you
have to set the proxy value in each application/program.
Paid proxy / Free (Open) Proxy
1. Paid Proxy server is the proxy the charge you some fee for
access to their proxy service. With some special like SSL support,
video sites support or higher bandwidth and faster speed.
2. Free (Open) Proxy server provides you free of charge service.

Transparent proxy is proxy server that doesn’t tell the
destination that the request was from proxy server. Many website
and internet application block the connection via proxy.
